Bad Smelling Wetsuit? Watch This!

Whether you regularly take a p@ss in your wetsuit or not, sooner or later your wetty is going to develop a slight funky whiff.

Ideally you should be following our simple wetsuit care tips after every surf session, to remove harmful body oils, urine, odours and salt water.

If you need to take more drastic action, here’s how (and it involves household items you probably already have);

What you’ll need;

A large bucket, washing up liquid, mild washing detergent, antiseptic mouthwash, a hanger, 2 wide mouth plastic bottles and your stinky p@ss smelling wetsuit!!!

Step 1 –  Half fill your bucket with fresh cold water.

Step 2 – Add washing up liquid, washing detergent and mouth wash to the water. Stir.

Step 3 – Add warm water to the bucket to make lukewarm.

Step 4 – Wash your smelling wetsuit! Hand wash for a few minutes and then let it soak for a further 15 minutes.

Step 5 – Make your wetsuit friendly hanger by putting the wide mouth bottles on the end of your hanger. This aids air flow and speeds up drying.

Step 6 – Hang your wetsuit out to dry. Avoid drying in direct sunlight.

Step 7 – Rinse wetsuit with fresh cold water.
